CYRENAICA, Cyrene. L. Lollius. 37-34 BC. Æ Unit (28mm, 12.43 g, 6h). Laureate head of Apollo right, bow [and quiver] over shoulder; B at chin / LOL/L I/O U, dromedary standing right on ground line; G below belly. RPC I 912 (same obv. die as illustration); Müller, Afrique 391-4 var. (rev. control marks); BMC 21; SNG Copenhagen 1308 var. (same). Good VF, brown and olive patina. An extremely rare control mark and finer than the published specimens of this type.
